Saturday 25th September 2010

Today was spent training four new cadets in basic boat familiarisation and inducting them into the organisation. We had two calls just as we were beginning to shut down station, both to Vessels aground.

The first a 30 foot yacht at the mouth of the Beaulieu River was towed to deep water, all safe and well on board.

The Second vessel 37 foot in length was aground at Park shore, VR1 went alongside and after discussion with the skipper it was deemed he was happy to wait for the tide, the vessel was in no immediate danger and a Kedge anchor had been deployed, stood down with thanks.

Sunday 26th September 2010

Basic training in coming alongside and general boat handling for some new crews was the order of what was to be an easy Sunday for the Venturers.

No calls for today and the crew were left to enjoy what could be the last of this years sunshine!
