The day passed with little incident afloat, a vessel sank of the entrance to Cowes and was duly dealt with by the Cowes RNLI Inshore Lifeboat.
VR1 was left to pick up some peices, a dan buoy and some assorted items. The cadets spent the morning training around the mooring with VR1 practicing approaching a picking up.
Our Ambulance Responder attended One incident during the day
Again afloat no incident was attended, however our duty responder was tasked to one 999 call.
We did hold a First Aid excercise of a broken ankle on the beach, we were thankful to July who happily volunteered to be the casualty, a face that the cadets did not notice and therefor provided a life like dimension to the excercise.
Happily the cadets dealt with the situation very well under the watchfull eye of the adult instructors.
