Todays fine weather and calm seas provided a good opportunity to provide the cadets with some real training on recovering people from the water all the methods from straight lifts aboard, par buckle lifts and using onboard equipment such as cradles and ladders were used.
The day passed without incident and the station closed in the later part of the evening
Both VR1 and VR3 completed detailed patrols of the Central and Western Solent as well as continuing the practice of coming alongside and holding off for some of upcoming tender coxswains who will hopefully soon be ready for assessments.
