The only call today was to the assistance of a fishing vessel that had been spotted drifting un manned in the Beaulieu River, it soon became apparent that the vessel had come away from a group of fisherman on the beach and it was returned with grateful thanks and confirmation that no one was in the water.
The Rest of the day produced routine training, maintenance and patrols.
Today our cadet commanders launched a training exercise with our Topper sailing dinghy, the vessel was purposefully capsized and the cadets practiced in recovering the crewman and vessel from the water, this is essential training from our beach rescue crews as well as main boat rescue teams and was successfully completed.
Our duty responder also responded to one 999 call
