Saturday 7th August 2010

VR1 tasked by Solent coastguard to the assistance of a broken down yacht in the Beaulieu River. Arrived on scene within two minutes and took vessel in tow to mooring up river, details taken and stood down to return patrol.

On patrol VR1 was tasked to the assistance of a windsurfer near Calshot, however the police launch Mariner 5 arrived on scene first and recovered the sailor and rig and took into Calshot. VR1 stood down with thanks.

Sunday 8th August 2010

VR1 and VR3 launched on service to the assistance of a broken down jet ski near park shore, occupant recovered to VR1 and jet ski towed to Lee On Solent.

Safely recovered with the assistance of rescue boat crew to the slipway.
