Weekend Update

Saturday 4th September 2010

Today was spent with all the cadets going afloat to practice boat handling skills, the cadet commanders ran several training sessions afloat and ashore as well as VR3 “Tlc Online Venturer” completing routine patrols of the Western Solent.

 

Sunday 5th September 2010

Again the day was spent recapping some of the skills from Saturday, the only call of the day came from Solent Coastguard to the aid of a four meter RIB broken down and subsequently run aground on Hurst Spit.

 

VR1 arrived on scene and recovered two occupants to VR1 whilst a Venturers Crewman boarded the boat for the tow back to Lymington. All safe and well VR1 stood down with thanks.
