In April, three of our Venturers responded to a call from the public to rescue a Labrador puppy in fast moving water.
This rescue was recognised by the RSPCA when Chief Inspector Paul Williams presented bravery awards to the venturers pictured right.
The award was given for the Venturers risking their lives to save the dog from drowning after it fell into the Dark Water River and was swept under the tunnel and was trapped against the sluice gate leading out to sea.
