Three teenage venturers and "Tiffy" Pearce-Smith MBE were invited to a The Southern California and Las Vegas Landrover Clubs to join them in a Landrover Advenure in Death Valley and the Panamint Mountains California.
Thanks to a private sponser they were able to ship their Landrover on a cheap rollo ferry to Port Hueneme California. in April 2007.
In Venturer tradition they flew the Union Jack hoisting lowring it at Sunset to the American version of the Last Post (Taps) which was very well received. Although Revelllie at day break was not so popular.
They also took time for a educational look at the American Way of Life in small towns off teh normal tourist routes.
Where they were well received at Police and Fire Stations.
They also visited a Morman Church in St.George Utah , and were given a guided tour and the history of the foundation of the sect.
The boys were complimented on their smart uniform and good behaviour by all they met.
