Unusual sea rescue

Venturers had a unusual sea rescue, when responding to a request from the Coast Guard, of a yacht owner reporting a branch floating in the sea.

 

The Venturers discovered it was a complete tree trunk, a danger to navigation which could have sunk a small yacht or power boat.

 

Successfully towed to Lepe Beach it was to heavy to move, and was cut up into smaller pieces to prevent it flaoting out to sea again on the next high tide
