Girl Power for Boat Licence

Congratulations must go to 16year old Aimee Smith who was the first female to gain her RYA Level 2 Power Boat Licence.

This qualifies her as a Coxswain for the Venturers Search and Rescues 9 Meter RIB "Steadfast Venture".

There are 3 other girls in the photo who are all Level 1 , and hope soon to pass their level 2 are Kristy Veal, Kelly White and Jade Butcher with Retired RNLI Coxswain Niall MacDonald.

The Venturers chief instructor said "The girls had worked hard over the last two years, which included winter theory classes and many hours of practical training afloat.
