"The League of Venturers is an outstanding young people's organisation which captured my attention and imagination several years ago.

I am always enormously impressed by the qualities of dedication, enthusiasm and sheer professionalism which go into making the Venturers such a worthwhile and extraordinarily successful rescue organisation.

Funds are hard to come by to keep this unique and adventurous body going. It would be a complete tragedy if such an imaginative idea were allowed to collapse through lack of support at any stage.

We will all do our best to avoid such a situation and I wish the Venturers every possible success in what they do - on land or sea."
