Children of Achievement
In February 2001, members of Venturers received a prestigious award at the Annual National Child of Achievement ceremony in London.

The award was presented in recognition of the dedication and personal achievement of the young people in the group.

The Child of Achievement charity is sponsored by Airtours. Members were also delighted to find that Airtours very generously awarded a family holiday for all of the children who received awards at the ceremony.

 

Captain Phillip Pearce Smith (Tiffy) - MBE
Venturers' founder, Captain Philip G Pearce-Smith, known as 'Tiffy', was proud to receive an MBE in 2000. Tiffy has worked training Venturers and running the Venturers Search and Rescue charity for over 40 years.

Royal Humane Society
Two Venturers received awards from the Royal Humane Society, for cutting a woman free from rigging under a capsized boat.
